Compatible External Speedlights (Flashes): The Nikon P100 doesn’t come with a hot-shoe for mounting an external speedlight. If you wish to use off-camera flash, you’ll need the SB-700 or SB-910 which come equipped with SU-4 mode. This allows the speedlight to be optically triggered by the built-in flash on the P100. *Tip: Set your flash exposure compensation on the P100 to -2.0 so that the built-in flash doesn’t illuminate the subject/scene too much.
